CAPP is a manufacturer of laboratory equipment and benchtop equipment for professional laboratories. CAPP is well known for providing high quality products worldwide due to their focus on producing innovative and user-friendly fluid handling equipment.<\/p>\n

CAPP’s history goes back to 1984, where the founder J\u00f8rgen Cappelen developed the first fully autoclavable pipette for the laboratory technicians at the University of Southern Denmark. The expansion of CAPP<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The innovative and efficient products quickly became a success in many countries outside Denmark. In the 1990s, CAPP expanded its markets to include Canada, the UK and the Netherlands. In 1997, CAPP introduced its CAPPAero product line – a cutting-edge pipette with innovative design and ergonomic features.<\/p>

Expanding the range in the 2000s resulted in an expansion of CAPP’s business in more than 80 countries. Today CAPP<\/a> is owned by the German company AHN Biotechnology<\/a> and is headquartered in Germany. In addition, CAPP has sales and service offices in the US, Brazil, China and India.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Sustainable laboratory production is such a fundamental aspect of the manufacturing approach at CAPP and AHN Biotechnologie that it is considered part of their DNA. Sustainable production of plastic laboratory articles is brought into all parts of the production flow, and this is reflected in all CAPP plastic products.<\/p>

AHN’s production facility is completely based on electric injection molding. Electric injection molding uses up to 40% less power compared to the often used older hydraulic machines. AHN uses the latest electrical technologies for injection molding of pipette tips, it provides faster production and thus sustainable laboratory consumables of very high quality.<\/p>

The savings in electricity and the faster production help to reduce the fixed costs. It allows CAPP to supply premium sustainable consumables to the laboratory at very favorable prices.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

AHN is certified with ‘Green Dot’ or ‘Der Gr\u00fcne Punkt’, which is a European system that recovers, sorts and reuses packaging from consumer goods.<\/p>

As part of the Green Dot scheme, changes have been made so that 100% of CAPP’s product packaging is now sustainable packaging. This means that customers can easily recycle or sort their packaging for recycling through nationwide recycling options.<\/p>

AHN also recycles. In 2021 alone, AHN recycled 11.3 million pipette tips, all of which were used to manufacture new black racks.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
