The black polypropylene compound creates a completely opaque barrier that prevents light from causing reactions in the liquid in the stored cryotubes, making the coloured boxes ideal for storing light-sensitive samples.
Unlike other coloured boxes, the black boxes are completely opaque and protect even the most light-sensitive samples.

The black cryo boxes are available with a 9×9 division and have an external dimension of 130×130 mm, making them suitable for most standard racks. The cryoboxes (also referred to as chest freezer boxes or cabinet freezer boxes) are made of high-quality, durable polypropylene (PP) and can withstand temperatures down to -90°C.
