Cryogenic gloves are designed to protect the user when working in extremely cold environments or when handling ultra-cold objects and liquid nitrogen. The gloves are ideal for the safe handling of dry ice (-79°C), for sample handling (-86° to -152°C) and for handling ultra-cold samples stored in liquid nitrogen. They can be used in temperatures ranging from -200° to +150°C.
The gloves offer a very high level of protection for the user during prolonged exposure to cold. The cryogenic gloves are made from materials that provide insulation against cryogenic liquids without compromising flexibility or dexterity. The material is resistant to both low and high temperatures to which the gloves may be exposed, ensuring that the gloves will not be damaged.
Cryokit’s protective gloves for handling extremely cold objects are waterproof and made from a specially coated blue fabric with nylon stitching. On the inside, the gloves are insulated with polyester fleece (240 g/m²) and Porelle® polyolefin film. The Porelle membrane ensures that the gloves are waterproof and helps to keep the wearer’s hands dry. The gloves are 38 cm long to also protect the arm.
The gloves are of very high quality and comply with strict safety regulations; they have undergone rigorous testing to ensure optimum strength and durability.
CAUTION: The gloves are not intended for immersion in liquid nitrogen or other forms of liquid nitrogen.
