Dividers and design

The boxes have interchangeable dividers and different sizes of dividers can be purchased separately, making the boxes very flexible. For example, researchers can replace a 9 x 9 compartment with a 10 x 10 compartment. With the 9 x 9 compartment it is possible to store 81 samples in the cardboard box, while the 10 x 10 compartment can hold up to 100 narrow cryotubes. If you need to store larger tubes, it is possible to remove the divider and store samples directly in the box. The many options make the cardboard boxes very flexible.

The boxes (also referred to as chest freezer boxes and cabinet freezer boxes) are designed to fit into standard freezers. The boxes are 50 mm high and come in standard sizes of 75 x 75 mm with 5 x 5 divisions and 133 x 133 mm with 9 x 9 or 10 x 10 divisions. The boxes can easily be used in modern, space-efficient storage racks. Furthermore, the surface of the boxes is easy to write on, making it easy to index samples before freezing.

The 50 mm cardboard boxes are available with 5 x 5, 9 x 9 or 10 x 10 divisions or without divisions. The divisions measure 30 mm in height. The 7 x 7, 9 x 9 and 10 x 10 divisions can be purchased separately.
