Centrifuge tubes for light-sensitive samples
Labcon UVSafe® amber centrifuge tubes for light-sensitive samples are designed to block ultraviolet light 100%. UVSafe centrifuge tubes are ideal for shielding light-sensitive samples and are much easier to use instead of wrapping the centrifuge tube in tin foil. This saves both time and foil. The tubes are lab tested and certified to block UVA, UVB and UVC light, but are designed to allow visible light to pass, so it is still possible to see the sample and thus the volume in the tube. The centrifuge tubes in racks are packed in patented, reusable fibre sticks.
UVSafe® conical bottom centrifuge tubes can be centrifuged (RCF) up to 12,500 x G. They have black easy-to-read graduations and reverse reading scale. The tubes are easy to label as they have a large white writing field with a patented anti-smudge surface. Labcon centrifuge tubes are made of high-quality, non-cytotoxic medical grade polystyrene resin. The centrifuge tubes are sterile, autoclavable with attached lids, certified free of ATP, RNase, DNase, DNA/RNA and pyrogen, and can be frozen to -80°C.
The tubes have attached lids in green that are made of polyethylene. The lids have a secure seal and are ideal for long-term storage. The lids are autoclavable when attached to the tube.
Labcon UVSafe® centrifuge tubes are developed in Labcon’s own in-house laboratory and tested in external professional laboratories where the tubes are tested for use in most basic centrifugation tasks.
All sterile products from Labcon are packaged in medical packaging and radiation sterilised according to a validated ISO 11137 method to a sterility assurance level of 10-6. Validated sterilisation ISO 11137 makes the centrifuge tubes ideal for use in research and medical laboratories.
