SPL’s 5.0 ml amber microtubes with screw caps are disposable tubes made from amber-coloured polypropylene for the preparation, mixing, centrifugation, transport and storage of light-sensitive solid and liquid samples and reagents. The microcentrifuge tubes can be used in training, routine and research laboratories within the life sciences, industry or chemistry. The microtubes (also known as macrotubes) have the same conical base as a 15 ml centrifuge tube, but save space if you do not have a large volume of liquid. These tubes are suitable for use from -86°C to 110°C and are a valuable resource for boiling and for storing samples at very low temperatures.
