Focus on the environment

The products Labcon manufactures are cast, assembled and packaged in their production facility in Petaluma. They sterilize at their own facility approx. 500 meters away, which also houses Labcon’s warehouse and distribution center. Labcon is focused on limiting their suppliers to a radius of 200 kilometers around Petaluma. This helps them limit their impact on the environment.

Labcon Eclipse standard pipette tips come standard with many features that are only available from other vendors as special upgrades.

All Labcon pipette tips are made from 100% pure virgin medical grade polypropylene. There is no recycled plastic in Labcon’s pipette tips. Labcon tests the resin to ensure that there are no extractables. Each batch is laboratory tested and certified free of detectable contamination by Rnase, Dnase, DNA/RNA and pyrogen.

All resins are also tested for metal contamination. Certificates can be downloaded from Labcon by batch number.

Labcon Eclipse refill system pipette tips

The Labcon Eclipse Refill System makes it easy to refill empty racks with pipette tips. The Eclipse series from Labcon are solid, high-quality, universal pipette tips. The smart refill system is simple, fast and especially environmentally friendly, and requires minimal storage space.

Labcon Eclipse standard pipette tips come standard with many features that are only available from other vendors as special upgrades. All Eclipse pipette tips are made from 100% pure virgin medical grade polypropylene. There is no recycled plastic in Labcon’s pipette tips. Labcon tests the resin to ensure that there are no extractables. Each batch is laboratory tested and certified free of detectable contamination by Rnase, Dnase, DNA/RNA and pyrogen.

All Labcon Eclipse pipette tips as a refill system are packed in trademarked Teal or Purple packaging. These racks are made of polypropylene and are repeatedly autoclaved. The stands have robust locking hinges and a special snap lock designed so that it does not get stuck in your gloves.

CAPPExpell Reload System

CAPPExpell Reload System are pipette tips for quick refilling of racks. With CAPPExpell Reload, filling the empty racks with pipette tips has never been easier. The system is extremely easy to use: remove the tower cover and remove the spiked insert plate. Place the plate in the empty rack. The rack has now been replenished with 96 tips.

EXPell Reload allows for more savings in several areas. Shipping costs are significantly reduced as they are packed compactly and take up 75% less space compared to regular tips in racks or bags.

The CAPP EXPell reload system also reduces the consumption of plastic, as each rack can be reused many times. Apart from the spiked insert plates, there are no additional plastic components in the EXPell Reload – only the packaging, which is in recycled cardboard.

Pipette tips such as realod are available for 10 µL standard and extended length as well as for 200 µL and 1000-1250 µL tips. Depending on the volume of the spikes, it consists of towers with 5, 8 or 10 inserts, containing 96 spikes in each.
